Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22nd September 2026
1. Introduction
This privacy policy explains how Mid Die, an assistant for Sentinel Comics: The Roleplaying Game, ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our application or website. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
We do not automatically collect any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or account details) as you browse. However, we use third-party analytics and monitoring tools that automatically collect certain technical data when you use the app, and if you choose to submit a bug report or feature request (see 2.3 below), you provide us with your email address directly.
2.1 Microsoft Application Insights
We use Microsoft Application Insights to monitor the performance and stability of the app. This service may collect:
- Crash reports and error logs
- App performance metrics (e.g. load times, response times)
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Anonymous usage telemetry (e.g. session duration, feature usage)
- IP address (used to derive approximate geographic region)
This data helps us identify bugs and improve the app's reliability.
2.2 Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with the app. This service may collect:
- Anonymised session recordings and heatmaps
- Tap and scroll interactions
- Pages or screens visited within the app
- Device type and screen resolution
Microsoft Clarity does not collect personally identifiable information, and session recordings are anonymised.
2.3 Bug and Feature Reports
If you use the "Report a Bug" form in the app or on this website, you voluntarily provide us with your email address, a description of the issue or idea, and category/severity details. We also automatically attach diagnostic information (app or browser version, operating system, screen/page, and locale) to help us investigate, and - where available - a link to your anonymised Microsoft Clarity session recording (see 2.2).
This information is sent to our content management system, which files it as a work item in our issue tracker (Plane.so) and sends you a one-off confirmation email via our email provider (Mailgun). We use your email address only to send that confirmation and, if needed, to follow up on your report - never for marketing.
3. How We Use This Information
The data collected through these services is used solely to:
- Monitor and fix technical issues, errors, and crashes
- Improve the performance and user experience of the app
- Understand which features are used most
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond improving the app.
4. Third-Party Data Processors
The analytics services we use are operated by Microsoft Corporation. Your data may be processed on Microsoft's servers, which may be located outside of your country of residence, including outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). Microsoft acts as a data processor on our behalf and is contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. For more information on how Microsoft handles data, please see:
If you submit a bug report or feature request, that information is also processed by our issue tracker, Plane.so, and our email provider, Mailgun, in order to file your report and send you a confirmation.
5. Data Retention
Data collected by Microsoft Application Insights is retained for up to 90 days by default. Data collected by Microsoft Clarity is retained for up to 13 months. We do not store any analytics data ourselves beyond what these services provide. Bug and feature reports (including your email address) are retained in our issue tracker for as long as needed to investigate and resolve them.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
For analytics data, most requests can be directed to Microsoft via their privacy portal at https://privacy.microsoft.com. For anything you submitted directly to us (such as a bug report or feature request), contact us using the details below.
If you have any questions or concerns about your rights, please contact us at hello@concernedcatstudios.com.
7. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
